Role

The Regional EHS Leader is responsible for managing all aspects of Allegion’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management System across the region. This includes developing and executing long- and short-term EHS and sustainability strategies that align with the company’s broader objectives and vision, with the goal of achieving a world-class EHS culture.

Responsibilities
  • The role involves establishing robust processes and metrics, including leading and lagging KPIs, to monitor and enhance performance, while proactively identifying and correcting off-track indicators.
  • The leader mentors and develops the regional EHS team, fostering growth in skills and capabilities. Regular collaboration with senior leaders, plant managers, and cross-functional teams ensures EHS considerations are integrated into business decisions and long-term planning. Strategic plans, initiatives, and performance updates are presented regularly to leadership and site teams.
  • This position partners with site EHS leaders, corporate EHS, and other stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and share best practices across the business.
  • It also includes developing and maintaining business continuity plans for Allegion Home, inspecting facilities for safety and environmental hazards, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • The leader investigates incidents, conducts root cause analyses, and supports or leads safety committees to promote consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Responsibilities also include managing physical security protocols, overseeing security personnel, and ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety laws, permits, and internal standards.
  • The role monitors contingency plans in coordination with federal, state, and local authorities and ensures compliance with agencies such as ERM, STPS, Factory Mutual, Social Security, and waste management regulations. Oversight of occupational health programs and epidemiological compliance is also required.
  • Additionally, the leader manages the EHS budget, drives employee engagement through mentoring and coaching, and partners with departments like Trade Compliance to ensure CTPAT compliance.
