A global technology company is seeking a professional for an Environmental Health & Safety role in Santiago de Querétaro. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Industrial Engineering, with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience, and a strong knowledge of safety regulations and ISO standards. Responsibilities include developing safety solutions, auditing processes, and ensuring compliance with regulations, fostering a safe workplace environment.

Formación

• 3–5 years of experience in similar roles.
• Experience implementing Mexican norms and international standards.
• Experience in creating emergency plans.

Overview

TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety Teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Identifies and corrects issues that are not immediately evident in existing systems or processes by analyzing information and generating ideas.
• Delivers results according to specific targets in direct support of department objectives.
• Audits procedures and work instructions.
• Evaluates legal compliance.
• Implements activities, programs and procedures to accomplish legal requirements.
• Follows up corrective action to finish on time.
• Apply company policies and practices to resolve semi-route issues.
• Strong knowledge of job safety analysis and creating standard work instructions.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the Cedula de Operacional Anual process and obtains required information.

Knowledge and Experience / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Environmentally Safe & Healthy or Industrial Engineering preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in similar roles.
• English advanced.
• Experience implementing Mexican norms (medio ambiente y seguridad laboral) and international standards.
• Implementing ISO 14001 and 45001.
• Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Safety machine NOM-004-STPS.
• Experience creating training and explaining concepts to others.
• Experience in creating emergency plans.
• Knowledge in high-risk jobs such as working at heights, lockout & tag out, crane.

Desirables

• Good communication with all levels.
• Ability to create Canva presentations and videos.
• Power BI dashboards.
• Create a crisis management procedure.
• Follow up the Management of Change.
• Know how to do a Protection Civil permit.
• Knowledge about ISO 13849-1.
• Visa (desirables).
