About the Role

We are hiring a performance-focused Video Editor to produce high-converting ad creatives for local service businesses.

This is not a "make it look cool" role.

What You’ll Do
  • Edit short-form and mid-form video ads from raw footage, UGC, talking heads, screen recordings, and stock to deliver scroll-stopping creatives optimized for Meta, YouTube Shorts, and Reels.
  • Turn winning ads into high-volume variations (new hooks, pacing, captions, visuals).
  • Repurpose organic content into paid ads that actually convert.
  • Implement modern editing patterns: fast hooks, pattern interrupts, captions, punch-ins, b-roll overlays, utilizing AI assets when necessary.
  • Light graphic design in Canva (thumbnails, simple overlays, text slides, brand-aligned visuals).
  • Edit with direct-response intent, not vibes.
  • Follow scripts, hooks, and angles rooted in avatar psychology and offer positioning.
  • Collaborate with media buyers to iterate based on CTR, CPL, hook retention, and ROAS.
  • Understand when new creative is required (fatigue, scaling, new offers).
  • Hit tight turnaround times without sacrificing quality.
  • Follow and improve existing creative SOPs.
  • Keep ad accounts stocked with fresh creatives as necessary.
  • Name files, versions, and variations cleanly (we scale—sloppiness kills speed).
What We Look For (Skills & Fit)
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal) — strong communication is a must.
  • Based in Latin America (Mexico, Buenos Aires, or similar regions preferred).
  • Comfortable making basic graphic design edits in Canva.
  • Strong understanding of short-form ad content and social media trends.
  • Able to take feedback, iterate quickly, and improve creatives over time.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to work independently without micromanagement.
KPIs & Accountable For
  • Volume of ad-ready creatives delivered weekly.
  • Turnaround time from request to final export.
  • Creative iteration velocity (variants per winner).
  • Performance contribution (ads you edit that scale).
What You Bring (Tools & Mindset)
  • Strong proficiency in Premiere Pro (CapCut experience a plus).
  • Comfortable with Captions App and subtitle-based editing.
  • Familiar with AI tools (Descript, ElevenLabs, basic AI video workflows).
  • Performance mindset: understand direct-response ads, pacing, hooks, captions, and framing impact.
  • Comfortable editing ads for local services (contractors, home services, land clearing, etc.).
  • Execution style: take feedback fast, apply immediately, data wins, independent work, no micromanagement.
  • Cultural fit: no ego, performance > aesthetic.
