Formación

About the Role

You will play an active role in making Uber safer for everyone who uses our platform.

We are searching for a highly motivated individual to support the LatAm Safety Ops team to use data to answer relevant business questions, solve problems, and improve processes.

What you'll do:

As a Data Analytics Specialist, you will :

• Understand the analytics needs of internal stakeholders and provide them with solutions that meet those needs.
• Navigate Uber's databases to find the data you need to tackle the problem at hand.
• Support team members with rigorous analysis of how a feature is performing.
• Monitor existing features' efficiency metrics and report in case something is off.
• Communicate your findings verbally, visually, and in writing.

Basic Qualifications:

• Skilled to work with numbers, spreadsheets, models, and data visualizations.
• Solid understanding of statistical fundamentals: descriptive statistics, probability distributions, tests of hypotheses, confidence intervals, regressions, and experiments.
• Working knowledge of SQL is a must.
• Written and verbal communication.
• Advanced level of spoken and written English (B2 or above).
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members coming from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
• Organization and learning.
• Attention to detail: the team must confidently rely on your work.
• Ability to work autonomously, and to learn new tools on your own.
• Creative problem solving: you don't give up on the first attempt.
• Bachelor in Economics, or Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Business.
• 2+ years of experience in a data-oriented role in operations, consulting, analytics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Python (Libraries: pandas, numpy, etc & API's), R and Automation Tasks using Python and Github.
