• Experience training others.
• Plant start-up experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Must have a working knowledge of automated assembly systems, a good understanding of basic application theory, design, and operation of industrial control systems, including power distribution concepts.
• Able to perform the following manufacturing engineering functions: tooling, process, and layout design; quality engineering, ergonomics, and safety.
• Ability to troubleshoot and program machine controls (Siemens - Step 7, Allen Bradley - Ladder Logic).
• Strong project management skills: able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Able to support all shifts as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Expectations

• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Personal skills include the ability to work well with others, team spirit, flexibility with personal schedule to meet deadlines, and support business travel.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools is required.
• Experience with Phoenix PC Works, Interbus, Devicenet, RS View, and Control Logix.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must have a working knowledge of automated assembly systems, a good understanding of basic application theory, the design and operation of industrial control systems, including power distribution concepts.
• Able to perform the following manufacturing engineering functions: tooling, process, and layout design; quality engineering, ergonomics, and safety.

• Strong problem-solving skills.
• 4-year associate\'s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7 years of experience and demonstrated success as a manufacturing/controls engineer in an automotive manufacturing or assembly plant.
• Experience training others.
• AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Plant start-up experience desired.
