A leading manufacturing company in Mexicali is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to manage supplier relationships and optimize purchasing performance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in procurement and fluent English. Responsibilities include negotiating with suppliers, evaluating performance, and analyzing trends to enhance the budget for indirect materials.

Descripción del empleo

1. Identify, evaluate and select suppliers for indirect materials and services.

2. Negotiate prices and contractual conditions with suppliers.

3. Maintain solid relationships with existing suppliers and seek new supply opportunities.

4. Evaluate supplier performance and manage situations where the supplier is out of target.

5. Analyze purchasing and cost trends to optimize the MRO budget.

6. Prepare reports on purchasing performance and propose improvement strategies.

7. Work closely with other departments (Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, etc.) to understand their needs and ensure adequate supply.

8. Participate in continuous improvement projects related to the supply chain.

9. Keep the catalog of materials to be purchased and their prices updated.

10. Has experience procuring Equipment Spare parts, toolings and fixtures per Engineering designs.
