Together, we believe the future is bright.Job OpportunityBusiness Development DirectorJoin Zuma Energía and be part of the energy market in Mexico.We are looking for a Business Development Director to help shape the growth of our renewable energy portfolio and drive strategic investment initiatives.General objective of the positionLead and execute investments in renewable energy projects, both in operation and under development, ensuring strategic alignment, financial robustness, and long-term value creation.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze the power sector, including market trends, regulatory frameworks, and future developments, engaging with authorities and industry stakeholders to define and execute the company's growth strategy.
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and integrate renewable energy projects (operational, greenfield, and brownfield), leading commercial negotiations, acquisitions, joint ventures, co-development, and services agreements.
  • Validate due diligence processes and prepare investment approval requests.
  • Lead licensing processes, coordinating internal and external teams (legal, ESG, operations, finance, and market development) to secure and maintain all permits, licenses, and authorizations.
  • Engage with local, state, and federal authorities to ensure regulatory compliance and project continuity.
  • Develop commercial structures for renewable energy projects, including private PPAs and auction mechanisms, collaborating with key market participants.
  • Oversee the development and validation of financial models, including CAPEX, revenues, and OPEX assumptions.
  • Support and participate in financial closings, validating technical and legal documentation for banks, investors, and shareholders.
Job Profile
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in business development roles, preferably within renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Professional area: renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Specialized knowledge: PVSyst Photovoltaic Power Plant Simulation Program, Autocad, Geographical Information Systems.
  • Use of tools: Office.
  • Language: Advanced English.
