Responsibilities
- Develop and implement improvements to existing automation in mechanical assembly, machining and inspection processes
- Develop and implement maintenance programs for equipment
- Manage equipment purchase and installation
- Prepare manufacturing documentation
- Coordinate projects
- Work closely with internal and external customers and vendors to resolve issues and provide technical support
- Develop systems and layouts that follow lean manufacturing philosophies of one-piece flow and kanban, with emphasis on mistake proofing.
- Lead and direct meetings with other team members and hourly associates
- Manage tooling and gauge design and drawings
- Provide training and guidance to all employee levels in the operation and maintenance of new equipment.
- Meet and drive equipment OEE and Uptime
- In collaboration with Process Engineering drive RTY , FPY and Scrap metric health and improvements.
Horario: 6:00 pm - 6:00 am
Viernes, sabado, domingo, lunes
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of computer programming and software development
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests
- Creative thinking skills
- Detail-oriented personality
- Ability to communicate well to other members of the development team
- Availability to travel
- Valid USA Visa and Mexican passport
- Manufacturing Automation Engineer with 3-5 years’ experience
- Lean manufacturing practices (Kanban, Poke-Yoke, JIT, Value Stream Mapping)
- Tool and fixture design and GD&T
- Strong Project Management skills
- Understanding and functional knowledge of PLC’s, low voltage controls, three phase power distribution, vision systems. Electronic sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics
- Machine specification and purchase order writing
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration capabilities
- Design and application knowledge of ergonomic and machine safety standards
- Autocad / Solidworks / MS Office suite
- Strong Communication skills (written and speaking
