In this role, you will take responsibility for the operational aspects of data mastering—ensuring timely updates, consistent data handling, accurate validations, and reliable day‑to‑day processes.

Your work ensures that index production runs smoothly and that the data behind our indices is dependable. You will contribute by:

  • Identifying and resolving data quality issues before they impact index calculations
  • Supporting audit requirements and ensuring processes are well controlled
  • Improving data workflows and contributing to standardization efforts
  • Helping maintain confidence in the datasets used across multiple index families

Your role is essential to operational reliability and the overall quality of the index products.

What is in it for you?
  • A key operational role with ownership of specific market data domains
  • Experience working closely with index operations and methodology experts
  • Opportunities to enhance processes, develop data controls, and shape consistent data standards
  • A chance to deepen your understanding of index inputs, data validation, and operational workflows
  • Ongoing skill development in data mastering, data lineage tools, and operational best practices
Key Responsibilities
Operational Data Management
  • Execute daily data ingestion, validation, and update processes for volume and related index datasets
  • Monitor data pipelines and quickly respond to exceptions or delays
  • Perform routine quality checks and ensure data is complete and consistent before index production
Data Quality & Issue Resolution
  • Investigate discrepancies, missing fields, or anomalies in input data
  • Work with internal teams and external providers to resolve data issues promptly
  • Document recurring issues and help identify long‑term remediation steps
  • Apply and maintain data quality rules, thresholds, and exception handling procedures
Documentation & Governance
  • Keep data dictionaries, lineage records, and procedural documentation up to date
  • Support audit requirements by maintaining clear logs of changes, corrections, and approvals
  • Ensure operational steps follow internal data governance policies
Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with index operations teams to understand daily data requirements
  • Coordinate with data launch teams on pipeline fixes, enhancements, and testing activities
  • Communicate data issues clearly and in a timely manner to stakeholders
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate routine operational tasks
  • Contribute to improving data mastering processes, validation logic, and workflow controls
  • Help evaluate new data sources and support onboarding activities
What we are looking for
  • 2–4 years of experience in data operations, reference data, market data management, or a similar role
  • Solid understanding of operational data processes, data quality checks, and issue resolution
  • Familiarity with market or index‑related data (e.g., volumes, corporate actions, constituents, reference attributes)
  • Comfortable working with structured data and performing basic queries or data checks
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to routine processes
  • Ability to work under time pressure, especially during index production cycles
  • Good communication skills and confidence collaborating with multiple teams
  • A proactive mindset focused on reliability, consistency, and continuous improvement
