A medical technology company in Torreón, Coahuila, is seeking an experienced Associate Test Engineer. This role includes creating and executing test plans, collaborating with development and QA teams, and participating in product certification efforts. The ideal candidate has a BS in Software Engineering or a related field, along with knowledge of software testing methodologies. This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence at least three days per week.

Formación

  • In depth knowledge of software testing methodology, test development, and test execution is a plus.
  • Software test group experience.
  • Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA regulations and international standards applicable to medical device software development, verification and validation a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Creating and executing test plans, manual test cases and generating test reports.
  • Creating use cases and identifying gaps in use cases/test cases.
  • Influence the definition of requirements and software design to maximize testability.
  • Develop and extend test cases and plans as software application features evolve.
  • Work closely with the software development team to identify and correct defects.
  • Collaborate with Development, QA and IT teams.
  • Participate in device and OS certifications.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Insulet is looking for a self‑motivated Associate Test Engineer to be a part of the manual testing efforts related to product development, product modifications, device and OS certifications. This position assists in the software quality assurance efforts related to new product development and product modifications for the Research and Development group. The position is responsible for ensuring that new products and devices have been effectively and efficiently verified and validated prior to their release and that these designs effectively meet documented and implied user needs and requirements. Software quality assurance efforts are lifecycle‑oriented beginning during product requirements development and continuing throughout its lifetime.

Education and Experience

Requirements:

  • BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar field preferred.

NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements and requires on-site work from an Insulet office at least three (3) days per week. #LI-Hybrid
