Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to be responsible for developing and implementing effective Sales, Trade & Marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets, building, and managing strong relationships with distributors, and providing outstanding customer service to our retail partners within the wines and spirits Industry.
RESPONSABILIDADES / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Applies and implements the agreed Strategic Commercial plans for assigned markets.
- Applies the pricing strategy with the distributors and partners in the assigned markets.
- Works with Regional / Cluster Director to set Annual Depletions and Financial Goals and define the strategies to attain them.
- Evaluates and implements appropriate sales techniques to drive profitable growth.
- Works with Regional / Cluster Director on Annual Budget, Resource Allocation and Strategic 3-year Plan.
- Works and visits the assigned importers and Brand Managers to attain Annual plan in the different markets.
- Identifies opportunities in areas of responsibility that provide advocacy for the portfolio and develop tactical programs in strategy with the core items.
- Provides feedback to Global Marketing teams to optimize the brand and commercial concept needed in the markets.
- Co-develops with the distributor local teams and approves concepts aligned with the Brand Plan and the Commercial Plan.
- Actively cooperates with relevant stakeholders to impact the plans execution.
- Train and optimize local distributor capabilities to optimize results.
- Participates in Sales Planning and Promotional events, as needed.
- Provides prompt response and action to distributor requests and builds the relationship with them by conducting meetings and reviews.
- Tracks, evaluates and reports results to Regional / Cluster Director for the Business Reviews.
- Works with Regional Director / Cluster Director to forecast future shipments and depletions trends to ensure distributors maintain the days inventory levels in distributor network and the working days in transit.
- Manages POS needs for distributors in territory and provides accounting of annual spend.
- Provides recommendations for POS needs in Focus Markets.
- Develops and promotions to increase volume sales and brand awareness.
- Works with local partners and Brand Ambassadors, to ensure seamless training and execution.
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business or sales and at least 5 years of related sales management experience or a commensurate combination of education and experience.
- Located in Mexico City.
- Wine & Spirits related industry experience is required.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Must have proven background within Spirits Supplier or Distributor Management.
- A solid understanding of the beverage alcohol business and possess excellent selling, critical thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Possess a proven track record - strong account network and building brands.
- Able to create advocacy for Zamora Company brands in the targeted accounts.
- Ability to maximize ROI by appropriately managing financial budgets.
- Professional sales, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Meet).
- Strong Organization Skills required to be successful.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license.
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 40% of the time and work evenings / weekends as the job requires.
