Role Summary

Technical lead developer accountable for architectural decisions, quality, and delivery of backend services and complex Guidewire integrations/customizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of microservices and integration patterns with Guidewire.
• Implement advanced features, performance optimizations, and resiliency.
• Define coding standards, review PRs, and guide refactoring and testing strategy.
• Partner with architects, product owners, and client SMEs.
• Coach team on GOSU, Guidewire data model, messaging, and plugins.
• Drive observability, reliability (SLOs/SLIs), and compliance.

Must-Have Skills

• Expert-level Java/Spring ecosystem, distributed systems design.
• Deep experience with integration architectures (sync/async, event-driven).
• Security-by-design (encryption, secrets, OWASP), performance tuning.
• Infrastructure awareness (containers, CI/CD, IaC basics).
• Hands-on GOSU and customization (rules, entities, PCF).
• Proven delivery on PolicyCenter/BillingCenter/ClaimCenter implementations.
• Data migration strategies and upgrade paths.

Experience

6–10+ years in Java; 3–5+ years in insurance/Guidewire-related projects.
