A leading technology company seeks an AI/ML Software Engineer to innovate and develop next-generation software products. This role focuses on researching emerging technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and transforming innovative ideas into scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will have advanced qualifications and experience with AI/ML methodologies, programming in Python and C++, and an advanced command of English. The position is on-site based in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

Formación

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Python and C++ languages.
• 2+ years of experience with software engineering skills including Git.

The AI/ML Software Engineer supports the development and engineering of new artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning technologies for the enterprise. This role focuses heavily on research, experimentation, and innovation to create new or improved software products that strengthen product relevance, enhance customer value, and contribute to long-term revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Innovation

• Conduct advanced research on emerging technologies, industry trends, and scientific advancements in AI, ML, and deep learning.
• Identify opportunities for strategic enhancements to existing products or development of new technologies.
• Define problem boundaries, explore solution spaces, and build proofs of concept or prototypes to validate new ideas.

Product Development & Engineering

• Support the design, development, and implementation of next-generation AI/ML software products and features.
• Transform research insights into scalable, production‑ready architectures, algorithms, and models.
• Contribute to midterm and long‑term technology roadmaps through data‑driven recommendations.

Collaboration & Cross Functional Work

• Partner with product managers, engineering teams, and technical stakeholders to address critical customer issues with innovative approaches.
• Collaborate with academic institutions, industry partners, and standards bodies to advance the adoption of emerging technologies.
• Participate in the creation and refinement of industry standards relevant to AI/ML research and development.

Technical Leadership

• Provide subject‑matter expertise in AI/ML methodologies, experimental design, and emerging research directions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Contribute to the development of best practices, frameworks, and reusable components that accelerate innovation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Computer Graphics, or a closely related field.
• 2+ years of experience in at least two of the following:
  • Computer Graphics
  • Computer Vision
  • Robotics
• 2+ years of experience in Python and C++ languages and Linux.
• 3+ years working knowledge of ROS
• 2+ years of experience with software engineering skills. Git version control, continuous integration and efficient programming.
• 2+ years of experience in application of computer vision and robotics state‑of‑the‑art methods on real projects.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Permanent and unrestricted right to work in Mexico.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of 3D sensing, projective geometry, or similar computational geometry concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with robotics trajectory generation, motion planning, or path planning algorithms.
• Familiarity with:
  • NumPy
  • Visual Studio
  • Intel RealSense technologies
• Experience with 3D modeling and printing (e.g., Blender, SolidWorks).
• Experience with video creation and editing tools.
