Channels Transformation

The Global Checks Domain team within Channels Transformation are helping to build the front door of the future of the bank – for new customers and existing customers who will be taking out new products.

We are building digital services and scaling them out around the world, whilst at the same time ensuring that we continue to add innovative features which will enable the bank to remain competitive in the future digital landscape.

The Role

Using an Agile development approach to fit large, complex projects, you will be an expert in lean / agile project methodologies. Highly experienced in software delivery you will be responsible for planning, leading, organising, and motivating your cross‑functional team to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering products that provide exceptional business value.

Skills / Experience
  • Managing a cross‑functional team in the scoping and delivery of projects.
  • Adapting agile processes when needed, to deliver robust, well‑tested solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical solutions to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Using metrics to determine throughput and report on project progress.
  • Managing risks and working with the team and stakeholders to mitigate them.
  • Championing the team and ensuring it has everything it needs to do its job—removing any obstacles.
  • Strong collaboration, joining up the dots and ensuring there is no “us and them” between your team and other parties.
  • Leading by example and showing what good looks like.
  • Technology‑aware and curious about technology, without needing to be a true techie.
  • A people person who cares about the team and the client.
Nice to have skills / experience
  • Experience as a software developer / UX professional / tester.
  • Personal side projects / contributions to open source (e.g. GitHub).
  • Big tech / incubator / startup experience – exposure to new technologies.
  • Cloud‑based digital platforms.
  • DevOps Projects.
  • Digital Banking.
  • Global Programmes.
