The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) is responsible for integrating manufacturing expertise into the New Product Development (NPD) process to ensure new products are designed for optimal manufacturability, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and quality. This role acts as a key technical liaison between product design, engineering, supply chain, and operations teams from early concept through production launch.
The AME contributes to the development of manufacturing strategies, evaluates and selects appropriate production technologies, and leads the development and validation of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment. The role also supports early prototype builds, defines manufacturing readiness requirements, and ensures smooth transition into full-scale production.
