Una empresa de servicios global en Veracruz busca un Asociado Actuarial para realizar análisis detallados en el área de reservas. El candidato ideal tendrá un título en Ciencias Actuariales, al menos 2 años de experiencia en reservas, y habilidades avanzadas en programación. Este rol requiere la capacidad de comunicar información técnica tanto en inglés como en español. Se espera que el candidato colabore en la entrega de información regulatoria y participe en reuniones de implementación de productos. Se ofrece un ambiente de trabajo inclusivo.

Formación

• 2 años de experiencia en un rol actuarial de reservas.
• Familiaridad con los requisitos de Solvencia II.
• Experiencia en trabajar con regulaciones locales de reservas y reportes.

Responsabilidades

• Calcular y entregar reservas a US GAAP y locales.
• Comunicar explicaciones sobre los niveles de reservas y desarrollos de reclamaciones.
• Colaborar en la consolidación de información regulatoria.

Job Purpose

The Actuarial Associate provides detailed analysis to standard, defined tasks in the area of reserving and reporting for Mexico. This role implements techniques which support Assurant operations in achieving its goals related to revenue and profitability targets. The Actuarial Associate demonstrates the ability to understand direction provided in project deliverables, time management, and development.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for calculating and delivering Local and US GAAP reserves to the finance area using data and information from systems and other departments.
• Communicate adequate explanations of reserve levels, claim developments and earnings fluxes to various audiences.
• Collaborate in consolidating regulatory information for delivery to the local regulator.
• Attend meetings for new product implementations, system conversions, review of P&L, reserving methodology changes and provide input to move projects forward and implement changes and improvements.
• Regularly communicate progress and issues in the above areas to the senior actuary and Manager.
• Ability to review requirements and provide essential details for internal and external inquiries and ad hoc requests as directed by manager.
• Identify system and data inefficiencies; implement resolutions as directed.

Experience

• Bachelor or higher degree in Actuarial Science.
• 2 years of experience in a reserving actuarial role.
• Familiarity with Solvency II requirements.
• Experience in working with Local reserving and reporting regulations.
• Advanced computer skills (programming languages).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Spanish.
