Job summary

A global leader in business travel management is seeking a Contract & Relationship Manager in Rome. This role involves managing supplier contracts and negotiating agreements to enhance revenue in collaboration with multiple stakeholders. Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) is a global leader specialized in managing business travel and events with revenues in excess of $20B. CWT serves companies of all sizes in more than 150 countries and territories. By leveraging both the expertise of our people and leading‑edge technology, CWT helps clients derive the greatest value from their travel program in terms of savings, service, security and sustainability while taking care of travellers.

We are currently looking for a talented and ambitious Contract & Relationship manager to join our office in Rome! You will be reporting directly to the Senior Global Supplier Manager covering the regions of Italy, Spain, Greece, Egypt and Morocco. Your main objective is to develop and improve revenues and cash rate by negotiating incentive agreements with the Customer Suppliers.

Your main responsibilities (but are not limited to):
  • Manage a specific portfolio of CWT’s suppliers
  • Review, analyse and understand revenues generated by the Business Development department from our customer suppliers (Airlines, car rentals, railways companies)
  • Formulate, negotiate and implement incentive agreements in order to increase those revenues based of CWT performance
  • Identify incentive areas by defining the KPIs with the vendors
  • Interact with internal stakeholders such as Business Development, Travel services and Commercial / Sales in order to collect information, provide guidelines and support them taking into account Global supply management’s strategies
  • Carry out market intelligence activities to test new business opportunities
  • Work closely with Finance department to provide forecasts of revenue from the Suppliers
Qualifications
  • Degree in business / economics or other related field
  • Significant experience in managing contracts in an international context
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word)
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and sense of empathy
