JUNIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER - BOLOGNA-NAPOLI

NIER Ingegneria is expanding its Systems Engineering team and is seeking a junior Systems Engineer to work in the railway industry.

PLACE OF WORK
- Initial location (6-12 months): BOLOGNA.
Potential permanent locations include BOLOGNA, NAPOLI, and MILANO, to be specified during the interview process.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform technical activities related to railway and metro systems development, including:
- Requirement management and verification;
- Standards and norms compliance verification;
- Functional safety analysis;
- Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in Engineering (e.g., Electronic, Electric, Nuclear, Mechanical, Aerospace, Biomedical).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent Italian (spoken and written).
- Good command of English (spoken and written, at least B1 level).
- Problem-solving skills, goal orientation, flexibility, motivation, team ability.
- Willingness to travel nationally.
DESIRABLE QUALITIES
- Knowledge of railway standards, signalling principles, and system architectures (e.g., ERTMS).
- Familiarity with international safety standards (IEC61508, EN50126, EN50129, IEC 61226, IEC 61513, ISO26262, IEC61513, IEC61511, IEC62061).
- Understanding of European Directives (e.g., Machinery, Electromagnetic Compatibility).
- Experience with requirement management and verification tools (e.g., DOORS, POLARION).
- Programming skills in DXL.
- Knowledge of RAMS engineering methods and software tools (e.g., FMEA, FTA, FaultTree+).
- Willingness to travel internationally.
