A PR & Marketing Executive plays an important role in assisting the Line Manager in achieving key objectives aligned with the annual marketing and PR plan, current initiatives, and relevant activities. The marketing and PR team is integral in bringing together all functional areas to ensure the achievement of commercial targets. The role involves managing individual projects related to marketing, media relations, and internal communications, as well as performing day-to-day administrative duties.
What will I be doing?
As a PR & Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for the results of the marketing plan and activities used by the hotel to increase brand awareness, communicate promotions to relevant target markets, and address hotel business needs. Your tasks will include:
- Coordinating and assisting with the delivery of marketing and PR strategies, monitoring campaign performance, and reporting as directed by the Line Manager.
- Supporting the development and implementation of promotional activities, collateral, in-house merchandising, and maintaining the media library.
- Promoting hotel marketing activities to the media, covering food and beverage, rooms, and events.
- Supporting internal communications, including updates, press releases, newsletters, and speeches for executives.
- Supporting all marketing and PR activities such as events, sponsorships, campaigns, and property inspections.
- Managing media relations, including social media tracking, press kit updates, news archives, and coordinating interviews.
- Organizing media familiarization trips and entertaining local media where appropriate.
- Assisting with on-site photoshoots and hotel filming, ensuring administrative approvals.
- Monitoring social media activity and supporting departmental initiatives.
- Ensuring brand standards are maintained across all collateral.
- Supporting loyalty marketing activities and campaigns.
- Executing marketing and PR content, including translation and photography, to optimize online presence.
- Responding to customer posts and addressing complaints appropriately.
Managing Execution
- Supporting content management across channels including websites, OTAs, social media, and partnerships.
- Developing reports on activities and results.
- Maintaining and growing hotel databases for marketing campaigns.
- Monitoring local news impacting hotel reputation and informing management.
- Developing reports on marketing and PR initiatives.
- Reviewing third-party website content for standards and accuracy.
- Conducting competitive analysis and maximizing PR efforts.
- Maintaining marketing archives and content.
- Supporting projects within budget and crisis communication.
- Achieving performance goals set by the Line Manager.
Developing Talent
- This role focuses more on self-development rather than team development.
Building Relationships
- Establishing effective communication with all hotel disciplines.
- Building relationships with Hilton personnel, media, community, government, and suppliers.
- Working effectively within the team and supporting hotel departments.
