Randstad Digital - Data Scientist/Statistician in Healthcare Sector
Randstad Digital, division of Randstad Italia specialized in recruiting ICT professionals, is seeking for a renowned Software House active in developing digital solutions for the medical sector.
The selected candidate will join an international team dedicated to the development and validation of intelligent medical devices. The role combines advanced statistical skills with operational capabilities in managing and analyzing complex datasets, focusing on AI model training, regulatory report generation, and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities and Activities:
- Design and implement data pipelines for collecting, cleaning, and transforming heterogeneous data, including images and metadata.
- Utilize languages such as R and SQL for data integration, manipulation, and extraction from clinical and operational sources.
- Manage the entire dataset lifecycle: stratification, versioning, documentation, and quality control.
Statistical Analysis and Reporting:
- Develop statistical models for distribution analysis, anomaly detection, outliers, and significant trends.
- Perform statistical tests and inferential analysis (e.g., t-test, ANOVA, chi-square).
- Define criteria, thresholds, and reference ranges to ensure compliance with experimental protocols.
- Produce technical and statistical reports for internal use and regulatory purposes.
Essential Requirements:
- Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related quantitative disciplines.
- Solid knowledge of experimental design, sample size calculation, stratification methods, and inferential analysis.
- Advanced skills in R, SQL, and Linux environments.
- Experience managing datasets based on images and structured metadata.
- Familiarity with data visualization and analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib).
- Knowledge of the regulated healthcare environment, medical devices, or clinical trials.
Plus Factors:
- Experience in DevOps or system management supporting data pipelines.
- Ability to design logical and analysis-oriented data structures.
- Knowledge of data versioning tools (e.g., Git, DVC) and cloud environments.
Work Mode: Full remote with monthly team meetings.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. The position is directly hired by the client under the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for Commerce.
