Solutions Architect - Cloud Optimization Success

Job ID: 3145510 | AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch) - F93

AWS Cloud Optimization Success is seeking a Solutions Architect who will build example scenarios and hands‑on labs to demonstrate best practices for deploying workloads in the cloud. The candidate will work with internal and external stakeholders to conduct Well‑Architected Framework Reviews, use AWS Trusted Advisor and AWS Health, review results, and encourage resolution of critical items or improvements detected in workloads. The ideal candidate is comfortable talking with implementation engineers as well as senior leadership.

Role Overview

Shape the solutions‑focused skills of AWS partners and customers through Well‑Architected Framework Reviews, remediation of critical issues, and education on improvement of implementations. Build and maintain example workloads and labs for partner onboarding; deliver workshops, lead labs, conduct white‑boarding sessions, and respond to inquiries. Define technical enablement strategies that enable customers and partners to succeed on AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deliver Cloud Optimization Success workshops and labs for partners, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Act as trusted advisor for AWS Well‑Architected Framework questions and implementation using tooling.
• Develop, improve, and execute multi‑day workshops, white‑boarding sessions, and respond to partner/customer inquiries.
• Use deep knowledge of AWS services to guide customers and partners through Well‑Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework adoption.
• Travel up to 25‑40% domestically, with EMEA trips and occasional international travel.

Basic Qualifications

• Technical writing experience (documentation, blog posts, whitepapers, etc.) and distributed team collaboration.
• Hands‑on experience building, deploying, and running production cloud workloads; familiarity with industry architecture and compliance frameworks.
• Strong operational, security, and reliability mindset for large‑scale distributed systems.
• Automation mindset and track record of implementing cloud best practices (provisioning, deployment, monitoring, cost containment, etc.).
• Ability to work globally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Senior Solutions Architect or consultant experience supporting cross‑industry cloud workloads.
• Experience with content and digital asset management.
• Proficiency in a high‑level programming or scripting language (Python, Golang, JavaScript, Java, C#, etc.).
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Professional, etc.).
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
