What’s ‘In-Store’? – Role Overview

We’re looking for a Software Application Engineer (POS) with full-stack expertise to help design, build, and maintain high-performance retail applications. This role focuses on the core logic and scalability of point-of-sale (POS) systems, ensuring seamless integration with data platforms, hardware, and third-party services via APIs and microservices.

Technical Environment

You’ll work with a range of tools and technologies including:

• Languages: Java, C, C++
• Frameworks & Tools: Kafka, Swagger, Spring

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and translate user requirements into technical specifications
• Design, write, test, and maintain software and system components
• Enhance and adapt existing applications and drivers
• Integrate third-party software and hardware systems
• Ensure performance and visual quality across devices and platforms
• Document technical designs and operational procedures
• Work collaboratively with developers, designers, analysts, and business stakeholders
• Stay current with emerging technologies and development best practices

Knowledge and experience you'll bring:

• 5+ years of experience in software development, including C, C++, and Java
• Working background in enterprise or cloud-based environments
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle
• Solid understanding of scalable systems, APIs, and microservice architectures
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills for working in a global team
