Descrizione del lavoro

At Bending Spoons, we’re striving to build one of the all-time great companies. A company that serves a huge number of customers, where team members grow to their full potential, operates at unparalleled levels of effectiveness and efficiency, creates value for shareholders at an extraordinary rate, and does so while adhering to high ethical standards.

Our strategy is to acquire digital businesses with untapped potential, grow them through our expertise, technologies, data, brand, talents, and culture, and invest the proceeds into making our platform even more powerful and acquiring new businesses. This approach blends efficient capital allocation with hands‑on operational expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Master your toolkit. Work across diverse tech stacks and refine your ability to choose the right tools for every challenge—from monolithic to microservices architectures, gRPC to REST APIs, Kubernetes to Docker, Python to Rust. Demonstrate that true expertise is about understanding purpose, not just following trends.
  • Build stuff that matters. Enjoy autonomy and take full ownership from ideation to execution. Build software from the ground up and see how your code evolves into a product used at scale.
  • Simplify relentlessly. Turn complexity into simplicity: optimize CI/CD pipelines, write maintainable code, and craft minimalist architectures that power scalable, future‑proof solutions.
Qualifications
  • Reasoning ability. Solve complex problems using first principles, structure your ideas, resist biases, and focus on critical details.
  • Drive. Exhibit extreme ambition in everything you do; match your initiative, effort, and tenacity with that ambition. Take deep responsibility for your work and hold yourself to a high—and rising—bar.
  • Team spirit. Give generously and without expectation of return. Support the best idea, not your own. Be reliable, honest, and transparent. Get involved and help the team.
  • Proficiency in English. Read, write, and speak proficiently in English.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Entrepreneurial teams. Work in small, result‑oriented, autonomous teams with some of the brightest people in the field.
  • Growth opportunities. We prioritize individuals of outstanding potential and place them in roles to thrive. Spooners in their 20s lead products worth hundreds of millions of dollars; you may soon play an essential role in major projects.
  • Competitive pay and equity. Typical annual salary starts at £85,797 in London and €66,065 elsewhere in Europe; senior candidates may earn between £112,189 and £250,512 in London, or €107,837 to €188,848 elsewhere. Compensation varies by location, impact and grows with experience. Permanent contracts may include discounted equity. Relocating to Italy may offer a 50%% tax cut.
  • Benefits. Flexible hours, remote work, unlimited learning support, top‑market health insurance, generous relocation package, parental support, and a yearly company retreat.

Commitment & contract – Permanent or fixed‑term. Full‑time.

Location – Milan (Italy), London (UK), Madrid (Spain), Warsaw (Poland), or remote in selected countries.

The selection process – If you pass our screening, you’ll take tests that assess how you approach unfamiliar problems. Successful candidates are invited to interview series. We set the bar high and only extend offers when we’re convinced we’ve found the right candidate.

Bending Spoons is an equal‑opportunity and affirmative‑action employer. We provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. Before applying, if you’ve applied before but did not receive an offer, please wait at least one year before reapplying.

We value talent over experience. If you’re excited to give your best, apply now—we can’t wait to meet you.
