Senior Utilities Engineer – PM BMT Crespellano (Bologna - Italy)

Philip Morris International is transforming its business towards smoke‑free products and building a future powered by innovation. At PM MTB this role will help us develop next‑generation technologies and improve our supply chain worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and implement utility systems—including ventilation, water/sewage, gas/fuel, power, heating, cooling, lighting and fire protection—to meet organisational needs, efficiency targets and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive engineering documentation and best‑practice records, ensuring they are regularly updated.
  • Lead utility‑related projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all systems comply with company, local, state and federal safety and environmental regulations.
  • Implement strategies for energy, water and CO₂ conservation and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians and other departments to deliver integrated, efficient projects.
Required Qualifications
  • 6–10 years of experience in utility engineering roles within large, structured multinational companies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certifications are preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of utility systems design criteria, processes and implementation.
  • Understanding of design/construction phases, sourcing and contract methodologies.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and project‑management tools; AutoCAD/design skills are desirable.
  • Familiarity with regulations and standards governing utility systems.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
