OVERVIEW
Reportingdirectly to the Project Executive assigned to the project, you will manage the day-to-day project implementation by CAA ICON, including direct management of all staff including but not limited to the Project Managers, Project Controls Managers, Construction Managers and Assistant Project Managers
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Manage project design completion , construction and other Client direct contracts on behalf of the client, typically including the architect and engineering agreements, construction contract, and consultants such as traffic study, survey, geotechnical, third party testing and Client Direct Works.
- Monitor the Project Budget and Schedule.
- Conductregularmeetingswith the Client’s representative(s)onthe status of the Project Budgetand Schedule,including anypendingissuesthat may impact either. Prepare and obtain Client sign-off on Owner Approval Letters reflecting any changes to the Project Budget, Schedule and Design.
- Ensure that a comprehensive monthly report is prepared and submitted in a timely fashion.Confirmform and content of such reportwith the Client.
- Assist the Project Executive infinalising the construction costs, including the review and negotiation of the Construction Contract for the Project.
- Manage RFP process for subconsultants and vendors.
- Establish and conduct all necessary Project Team meetings to monitor design, schedule, budget, construction progress.
- Manage the work of theproject team to ensure that the team is focused on their task and making the necessary commitment to achieve the predetermined delivery dates, scope and budgetwithhigh qualitywork product.
- Oversee CAA ICON team to monitor the daily progress of actual construction and quality control on the job site.
- Monitor and track the use of any allowances or contingencies, whether used by the contractor and/or the Client.
- Coordinate with the Cost Management Consultant and Direttore del Lavori to analyse all change order requests and additional service requests. Respond in a timely fashion to delay notices, time extension requests, and submitted change order and/or additional service requests.Engage others as required to understand the change and its costimplicationsin order to negotiateterms and conditions with the contractor and/or design team before the work is performed.
- Monitor the protocol for review and approval of the contractor’s monthly pay application.
- Monitor the status of the construction quality program.
- Establish the final listing of necessary Technology and Client Direct Works to be procured directly on behalf of the Client, anddevelop aschedule forprocurement, deliveryand installation, as required.
- Assistthe Clientinobtaining necessary governmentand leagueapprovals, permits, entitlements,etc.Monitor the contractor’s progress in obtaining a Certificate of Occupancy(CO).
- Help facilitatecommissioning of the new venue.
- Establish solid working protocol with the CAA ICON staff as well as the staffs of thedesign team, construction team and other key consultants.
- Assure a positive working environment for the entireProject Teamto mitigateissues that might interfere with the ability of theProjectto be successful.
- Monitor theCAA ICONstaff with respect to workload and capabilities. Assure that the teamhasappropriateoffice space on site to work efficiently and within an environment suitable for our employees.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in design, construction, engineering or finance and solid relevant experience in the construction or a related services industry.
- Experience delivering high-value, complex sports, entertainment or public assembly venues.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and report directly into Client groups, Ownership, or Board of Directors
- Exceptional communication skills in both English and Italian.
- Multi-tasking and the ability to problem solve and master new concepts in a short period of time.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including the use of complex functions, various formatting techniques, database sorting/filtering and overall creativity when assembling, analysing and presenting data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project preferred.
- Detail-oriented, organised in thought, process and action as well as creative, analytical and collaborative.
