At dentsu we are looking for a Senior Art Director to join our team in Milan. The purpose of this role is to bring strong visual sensibility, a passion for social and video‑first creativity, and a proven ability to translate ideas into impactful campaigns and high‑quality executions. This role requires a conceptual thinker who can oversee all phases of a project, from ideation to production, including shoots and content creation for digital platforms. You will work within Thorns, our fashion and luxury vertical, helping shape the creative direction for major brands. You’ll be responsible for developing standout concepts, crafting visual languages, and guiding multidisciplinary teams through delivery, with a focus on social media, video content, and integrated campaigns.

Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead Concept Development: Ideate and develop creative platforms and visual narratives that are bold, relevant, and aligned with brand strategy.
  • Drive Social Content Creation: Design and oversee the production of assets for social platforms, digital campaigns, video formats, and paid media with a focus on innovation and storytelling.
  • Manage Production Pipeline: Supervise all phases of production— including pre‑prod, shooting, and post—collaborating with photographers, directors, editors, and internal resources.
  • Coordinate with Teams: Collaborate with copywriters, designers, strategists, and producers, while occasionally coordinating junior creatives and external partners to ensure cohesive output.
  • Maintain Brand Consistency: Uphold and evolve brand visual identity across all touchpoints, especially in fast‑moving environments like social.
  • Client Collaboration: Present ideas with clarity and confidence to both internal stakeholders and clients, contributing to strategic and creative conversations.
  • Stay Culturally Sharp: Monitor emerging trends in fashion, digital culture, design, and technology to keep our work fresh and forward‑thinking.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Visual Communication, Design, Art Direction, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in creative roles, experience with fashion, luxury, or lifestyle clients.
  • Visual Sensibility: Strong aesthetic eye with proven experience in crafting content.
  • Strategic & Creative Mindset: Ability to think conceptually, translating brand strategy into compelling creative ideas.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Team player who knows how to inspire, mentor, and occasionally manage other creatives and freelancers.
  • Production Know‑how: Solid understanding of shooting processes, art buying, and post‑production workflows.
  • Digital Fluency: Master of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, CapCut and Ai tool.
  • Languages: Fluent in Italian and highly proficient in English (spoken and written).
