Report to Director of Sales & Marketing
Responsibilities
- Manage proactively and scout business opportunities to contribute to overall hotel revenue
- Promote and communicate effectively the hotel’s identity and unique selling points, establishing and maintaining relationships with clients in the defined sales segment to meet departmental sales targets
- Solicit and develop new business from identified market segments and sources of business
- Identify new sources of business based on economic trends and opportunities
- Retain business by adhering to established retention strategies
- Represent the hotel and Hyatt brand in selected trade shows and sales missions to maintain relationships with key accounts, scout new ones and contribute to revenue opportunities
- Input client data timely and accurately in relevant hotel systems and tools
- Review with the Director of Sales & Marketing production of selected segments and accounts, identifying opportunities
- Reach and exceed the goals set by the Director of Sales & Marketing
- Liaise closely with the Groups & Events Sales Manager to drive business to the segment
- Assist in monitoring activities of competitor hotels
- Provide feedback from market to tailor hotel strategies
- Assist in developing strategies to increase sales and productivity throughout the hotel
- Ensure all departmental reports and related correspondence are completed in liaison with the Director of Sales & Marketing
- Assist in implementing the annual Sales Business Plan to reach selected goals
- Ensure incoming sales inquiries are appropriately handled
- Carry out the sales solicitation strategy for selected markets
- Comply with Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s Brand Philosophy and act as an ambassador at all times
- Work closely with the hotel’s reservations department to ensure that all booking inquiries are correctly handled and implemented
Other Duties
- Maintain and adhere to hotel standards and grooming
- Provide a caring, friendly, courteous and professional service at all times
- Maintain good working relationships within the hotel and with external organizations
- Adhere to hotel rules and regulations, in particular policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene and Safety
- Comply with local legislation as required
- Respond to changes in the department as dictated by hotel/industry needs
- Maintain a flexible attitude to perform any other reasonable duty, including redeployment to other departments if required
- Attend training and meetings as required by the hotel and organization
