Secheron Hasler Italia is seeking a Technical Repair Technician to join our dynamic Customer Service Center team in Villafranca di Verona.
Responsibilities
- Set up electronic systems and devices
- Troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish industrial electronic equipment
- Repair malfunctions in circuitry and other system structures
- Troubleshoot electronic circuits to component level and identify failure trends
- Test electronic components to board level, using various methods and testing equipment
- Repair and/or replace electronic components to board level, including but not limited to: diodes, transistors, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and other printed circuit components
- Update software and run tests on existing equipment
- Familiarity with and ability to utilize different types of test equipment such as function generators, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies; isolate problems between the test environment and the units under test
- Record and interpret test data to determine pass/fail conditions and determine when further analysis is needed; communicate with Repair Services management to keep them informed of job status
- Perform field service visits in a timely manner as required to resolve technical issues experienced by customers
- Solder and desolder using through-hole and surface-mount technology
- Recognize various electronic components and their functions
- Work in a progressive repair process with direct interaction with teammates
- Collaborate with other professionals on technical tasks
- Maintain inventory
- Interpret drawings, training manuals, and instructions to perform duties
- Attend regular training workshops and report to the Supervisor
- Ensure that all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma/Degree or completed coursework in Electronics
- 1 year of proven work experience in a similar role
- Good working knowledge of English (reading, writing and speaking)
- Experience as electronic technician or in a similar role
- MS Office
- Ability to interpret electronic schematics and product drawings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Autonomy and proactivity
