Overview

Position Title: Program Coordinator Marist Italy

Department / School: Marist International Programs

Salary / Pay Rate: 40000

The Program Coordinator also receives 8 lunch vouchers on workdays which can be used at local cafes and other eateries in Florence

Job Summary

The Program Coordinator will assist the Interim Director of Marist Italy to manage branch campus operations. This includes the coordination of clubs LdM activities residence life activities and student events. The Program Coordinator will also maintain emergency contact databases and support visits from the home campus exchange faculty and prospective students and families. The Program Coordinator takes the lead in supporting students visa and immigration processes. This is a live-in position in the Marist Residence in Florence with the Program Coordinator assisting the Residence Life Coordinator to supervise student housing. This position participates in the on-call emergency phone rotation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Education Liberal Arts Business Psychology Italian or other related field.
  • 1 -3 yearsof experience in international education and study abroad including supporting students academic cultural and personal adjustment to living in another culture.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.
  • Adaptability energy and commitment to running the best possible international programs.
Essential Functions
  • Coordination of Marist Italy clubs including club fairs weekly club meetings and financial reporting of clubs.
  • Developing and maintaining calendar of student activities including LdM events and activities residence life activities Marist Italy student events and visits from the home campus and prospective students and families.
  • Maintain emergency contact information for students and staff and manage weekly student and staff travel databases.
  • Provides support for student immigration and visa processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of Florence and Tuscany including both major cultural sites and lesser-known local resources; familiarity with civil services transportation systems and other programs and opportunities available to foreign students.
