A leading hospitality company in Venice is seeking a Payroll & Compensation Administrator to manage payroll processing and HR administration. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience in HR roles, with knowledge of Italian labor laws. Responsibilities include processing payroll, administrating employee benefits, and managing HR records. Job Description
Process monthly payroll accurately and on schedule, coordinating closely with external providers and internal finance.
Collect, verify, and input all payroll-related data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, and deductions.
Administer employee benefits programs, ensuring accurate enrollment and changes.
Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Respond to employee queries regarding payroll, benefits, and compensation.
Manage and maintain all HR records and personnel files (digital and physical) with exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality.
Administer the full employee lifecycle documentation, from offer letters and onboarding paperwork to contract amendments and offboarding records.
Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire packets, coordinating first-day logistics, and ensuring all initial paperwork is complete.
Assist in drafting HR-related communications, policies, and procedural documents.
Process and track HR-related invoices and expenses for the department.
Provide administrative support for performance management cycles, learning & development initiatives, and employee engagement activities.
Assist with compliance checks, ensuring all administrative practices adhere to Italian labor laws and internal guidelines.
Assist in maintaining accurate crew data within HR and scheduling systems.
Support the coordination of crew schedules by accurately recording changes, absences, and leaves.
Compile data for various HR reports, including headcount, attendance, and payroll summaries.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of direct experience in HR administration, with significant exposure to payroll processing.
Demonstrated understanding of Italian labor laws and payroll regulations.
Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a high degree of accuracy.
Proficiency in HRIS / payroll systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
Proactive, self-starter with the ability to manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
