Are you a professional looking for a new challenge in a dynamic and fast developing business? We invite you to join our team as an Outside Sales Engineer primarily for Northern & Center Italy within the Global Sales organization.

With broad experience within process industry and automation projects related to Systems and Software solutions and project pursuit activities, you will be playing a key role in accelerating the business growth in new prospects primarily in Life Science and Chemical industries.

In this position, you will apply your industry relationships, technical proficiency and strategic business perspective to develop and sustain strong partnerships across client organizations, engaging stakeholders from engineering teams to the C-suite.

Understanding market needs and dynamics, developing and executing strategies and tactics to drive order growth and profitability.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and key stakeholders within customer organizations.

Understanding customer pain points, business drivers, and operational challenges to position Emerson’s solutions effectively.

Building and strengthening customer relationships by visiting key clients to present and promote Emerson’s value proposition.

Maximizing customer engagement through regular in-person meetings as well as other communication channels such as phone calls, emails, and webinars.

Negotiating business contracts within the agreed Delegation of Authority, including terms on pricing, discounts, and volume structures.

Collaborating with the sales support organization (both local and international) to develop winning sales and proposal strategies.

Maintaining an up-to-date project opportunity pipeline in CRM tools and continuously enhancing product and technology expertise.

Acting with integrity and compliance, ensuring all business activities follow company ethics and Trade Compliance procedures, and raising any concerns appropriately.

For This Role, You Will Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Solid technical background in process automation and industrial processes
  • Minimum years’ experience in sales roles within the process or automation industry
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites
  • Valid driver’s license
