We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Molecular Biologist to join Tethis’ team and drive the development of innovative protocols for single-cell molecular analysis utilizing next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies and works with state-of-the-art technologies for cfDNA/cfRNA analysis from plasma. This position requires a strong background in molecular biology, a deep understanding of single-cell techniques, and a passion for advancing cutting-edge research methodologies. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing experimental workflows and enabling breakthroughs in genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic studies at the single-cell level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Protocol Development:
  • Design, develop, and optimize protocols for single-cell molecular analysis using NGS.
  • Evaluate and implement advanced techniques for sample preparation, library construction, and sequencing tailored to single-cell studies.
  • Develop methods to increase sensitivity, accuracy, and reproducibility of single-cell data generation.
  • Research and Innovation:
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in single-cell biology, PCR methods, Lab-on-chip sequencing, and NGS technologies.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to test new methodologies and technologies in single-cell sequencing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into practical applications.
  • Experimental Design and Execution:
  • Plan and execute experiments to validate and refine single-cell protocols.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges and identify innovative solutions to improve outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
  • Collaborate with bioinformatics teams to analyze sequencing data and assess protocol performance.
  • Interpret results to identify strengths and limitations of developed protocols.
  • Provide recommendations for iterative improvements based on data insights.
  • Collaboration and Training:
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment and effective implementation of protocols.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for developed protocols.
  • Contribute to scientific publications and grant applications as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Candidate Profile:
  • Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genomics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in single-cell sequencing: protocol development for cfDNA/cfRNA analysis is considered a plus.
  • Passion for innovation and advancing molecular biology research, in the field of DNA, RNA.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to work in interdisciplinary teams.
