An international insurance group based in Milano is seeking a project manager for its M&A department. The ideal candidate should have a Master's in Finance or an MBA, with 2-3 years of experience in M&A or Corporate Finance. Responsibilities include coordinating M&A activities, driving due diligence, and managing stakeholder relationships. Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills are required. Proficiency in English is mandatory, and must be willing to travel as necessary.

Job Description

The GIH M&A department is looking for a project manager to help handling the coordination and execution of M&A transactions.


He/she will also be asked to conduct Company screening and industry research in the context of M&A projects.


The candidate will support the team in daily project management activities including but not limited to:



  • Coordinating M&A transaction activities across internal teams and external stakeholders (eg financial, legal, accounting, tax consultants) ensuring alignment in relation to the transaction related tasks

  • Driving the due diligence phase and contributing to the development of financial valuation models which integrate synergies and strategic, business, operational, financial, legal, tax and other considerations

  • Managing and steering the M&A process to ensure effective coordination among all stakeholders involved, and timely reporting of planned, ongoing, and potential M&A opportunities

  • Preparing documentation for the Board of Directors and internal committees to support the decision-making process

  • Supporting stakeholders during the post signing/pre-closing period and, if necessary, in the integration phase, in close connection with other internal functions

  • Identifying and assessing new potential targets (acquisition/disposal) and growth opportunities in both existing and new markets


Requirements

Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:



  • Master of Science in Finance, MBA or equivalent

  • At least 2/3 years seniority in M&A / Corporate Finance

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • English mandatory; fluency in other languages welcomed
