The role involves preparing wine lists, assisting in sales monitoring, and providing personalized service. Candidates should be fluent in English and Italian, passionate about wines and gastronomy, and possess strong communication skills. The position offers seasonal contracts, learning opportunities, and staff discounts on hotel stays and services.
JUNIOR SOMMELIER Villa Igiea reopened on May 2021 completely refurbished after almost two years of renovation work. It shows contemporary design while maintaining its Liberty soul. The hotel has 100 rooms and suites, overlooking the flourishing gardens and the Gulf of Palermo. Well-known Chef Fulvio Pierangelini leads the kitchen brigade and conceive the hotel culinary offer. A beautiful Wellness Centre is available for relaxation and body care while sports lovers will find a spacious and well-equipped fitness room. The property is enriched by a see front swimming pool for the exclusive use of Guests.
Main purpose: The Junior Sommelier helps the restaurant team to ensure the best Guests’ experience is provided through a flawless service. We expect personalised interaction with our Guests in order to deliver them the best culinary experience, whilst recommending and up-selling wines to pair with their meals. Reports to: Maitre.
