We are seeking a motivated Junior Electrical PV & BESS System Engineer to join our Energy Efficiency team. The successful candidate will assist in the design implementation and maintenance of photovoltaic (PV) solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) . This role provides hands‑on experience in solar and storage project development electrical design and system performance analysis with mentorship from senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and layout of PV and BESS systems including single‑line diagrams cable sizing grounding and protection schemes
• Support in preparing technical drawings specifications and documentation for solar storage projects
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies including load analysis shading studies and energy yield / storage modeling
• Perform electrical calculations (voltage drop short-circuit power losses system efficiency).
• Collaborate with project managers civil engineers and contractors to ensure system integration between PV BESS and grid infrastructure
• Support the installation testing and commissioning of PV and BESS systems.
• Monitor system performance and assist in troubleshooting technical issues for both PV and BESS assets
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes safety standards and grid interconnection requirements
• Stay updated on emerging solar storage technologies standards and best practices

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical Engineering Renewable Energy Engineering or related field
• Basic knowledge of photovoltaic systems inverters battery technologies and electrical equipment
• Familiarity with AutoCAD PVsyst ETAP HOMER or similar software is a plus
• Understanding of IEC NEC IEEE or local electrical codes and standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to learn and grow in the renewable energy and energy storage sector
• Hands‑on exposure to electrical installations testing and commissioning

Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)

• Internship or project experience in solar PV or BESS
• Knowledge of battery chemistries (e.g. Li‑ion flow batteries) and BMS (Battery Management Systems)
• Familiarity with SCADA and monitoring systems
