ABOUT THE JOB

The IT PM plans, organizes and implements the Technical and Application Projects.

He / she is responsible for delivering the Project.

His / her main duties include coordinating production releases and roll-outs, delegating tasks to the necessary employees and presenting on Projects’ progress and results.

The PM leads and manages the Project Team, with authority and empowerment given by Project Steering Committee.

The IT PM has the role of interfacing the Project Team and the Business Team.

This is key to communicate and foster the needs for transformation and change within the Business, as well as to develop new capabilities derived from the Project.

ABOUT YOUR TASKS

The IT PM, operating within agreed reporting structures, is responsible for :

• managing the production of the required deliverables;
• planning and monitoring the Project progress with special focus on target time of completion and costs;
• managing Project risks, including the development of mitigation and contingency plans;
• the liaison with other PMs, in case of dependencies / affinity, to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated;
• monitoring overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action when necessary;
• reporting through agreed lines on Project progress, through status reports and end-stage assessments;
• maintaining an awareness of potential interdependencies with other Projects and their impact;
• identifying and obtaining support and advise required for the management;
• promoting and fostering a culture of work by project and related methodologies.

DESIRABLE

• certification in one or more Project Management frameworks (Waterfall, Scrum, etc.);
• knowledge on Project Management tools; ideally, Jira.

ABOUT YOU

• degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (Computer Science will be preferred), or equivalent level of professional qualifications and / or experience
• 5-10 years of experience in a similar role

As IT PM you should able to

• establish a good working relationship with the Business Owners;
• direct, manage and motivate the Project Team;
• develop and maintain an agreed Project Work Plan;
• tailor expert knowledge to meet specific circumstances;
• plan and manage deployment of physical and financial resources to meet Project milestones;
• build and sustain effective communications with other roles involved in the Project;
• preferential skills will be : experience on JDE or equivalent ERP; experience on business processes optimization; experience on both agile and waterfall methodologies.
