Overview

Fulfillment Operations Manager (Warehouse Onsite) - Mandarin speaking. We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our client's Europe Fulfillment Operations team, responsible for day-to-day operation management of fulfillment in Italy.

Note: The main work location for this role will be at our client's warehouse near Milan (~1-1.5 hours from Milan city center) at least 3 days per week; the role requires full-time onsite work.

We are an outsourcing company with clients in Europe, USA and Asia, supporting a social media video content platform for creating and sharing short lip-sync, comedy, and talent videos.

The Supply Chain and Logistics team plays a vital role in ensuring a strong and efficient supply chain and logistics infrastructure that drives business growth and enables global expansion.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and control performance and capacity of External Fulfilment Logistics providers (3PL).
  • Monitor and analyze customer experience and operation performance; maintain and develop KPIs and SLAs with 3PL in a dynamic growing environment.
  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of forward-thinking solutions addressing supply chain and logistics challenges with a focus on efficiency, speed, scale, and predictability.
  • Collaborate across teams to gather and define comprehensive business requirements, ensuring solutions meet the specific needs of supply chain and logistics operations.
  • Manage relationships with multiple internal customers within the third-party facility and cross-functionally across the organization.
  • Identify improvement opportunities related to cost and quality of services; create documented business cases, present to peers and leadership for approval, and provide ongoing project management.
  • Collaborate with systems teams to create and refine capability roadmaps for new technologies, tools, and systems required to implement proposed solutions.
  • Drive development of innovative solution designs using industry best practices and emerging technologies to address operational challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations, Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in logistics operations and at least 3 years in e-fulfillment.
  • Solid working experience and relationships with fulfillment service providers.
  • Fair understanding of eCommerce logistics operations (data integration, fulfillment warehousing, first-mile pickup, parcel sorting, middle-mile, courier delivery, returns, import clearance).
  • Proficiency in oral and written English and Italian to support daily operations management.
  • Able to work full-time onsite at the fulfillment center.
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese to support global selling business operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Operational leadership experience in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify, assess, and mitigate risks and drive solutions.
  • Excellent analytical skills to use data to identify and address risks or issues.
  • Good project management skills; knowledge of Lean techniques such as Kaizen or Six Sigma.
