Job Purpose

The Financial Controller will be primarily responsible for managing financial, tax, reporting, and governance aspects of the investments in scope. They will actively contribute to the financial management during investment and divestment phases, as well as in financing, hedging, and structuring of investments.

The Financial Controller will coordinate the production of investor and regulatory reports and support the monitoring of investment performance, working closely with Fund Management and Asset Management teams.

The role involves liaising with internal and external parties and requires strong communication and presentation skills.

This position requires a proactive individual who can take initiative and communicate effectively.

• Key Accountabilities
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reports from external service providers (Corporate Managers, Corporate Secretary, Property Managers, Tax Advisors)
• Coordinate quarterly reporting, fund reporting, investor, and regulatory reports (annual, semi-annual, quarterly, monthly, including regulatory reporting) and ad-hoc reports (Management or Supervisory Board)
• Manage accounting, reporting, financial, tax, and governance aspects of all investment vehicles in scope (Funds, Sicafs, SPVs)
• Coordinate with providers (corporate manager, tax advisor, property manager, auditors, corporate secretary, banks, legal, compliance, risk managers)
• Oversee the budgeting process
• Monitor performance metrics (variance analysis, asset performance, capex, rent arrears)
• Contribute to acquisition/disposal, financing/hedging, and structuring of investments
• Participate in transversal projects and perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration
• 2-3 years’ experience in audit or financial control
• Experience in real estate or asset management is desirable
• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
• Proficient in computer skills, especially advanced Excel
• Team player with a proactive, enthusiastic, and result-oriented attitude
• Strong cross-cultural management and negotiation skills
• Analytical and presentation skills
• Rigorous, self-motivated, and autonomous
