A leading medical technology company is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Piacenza, Italy. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality maintenance and repair on diagnostic medical imaging products. Responsibilities include installation, troubleshooting, customer support, and field training. Candidates should have electrical or mechanical engineering experience, excellent communication skills, and be willing to travel. Competenze

  • Experience in electrical/mechanical engineering, ideally from a medical device background.
  • Ability to provide troubleshooting and customer training.
  • Travel required within the designated region and occasionally internationally.

Mansioni

  • Carry out maintenance and repair work on Hologic products.
  • Install instruments at customer sites.
  • Liaise with customer IT departments and assist with installations.
  • Support marketing activities such as exhibitions.
  • Complete administrative work, including Time Reports and Expense Reports.
  • Provide basic use/maintenance training to customers.

Field Service Engineer - Piacenza, Italy

Our field service engineers are instrumental in providing first class customer experience when repairing and maintaining our products on customer sites.

We’re thrilled to be looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team in Italy. In this role you will be covering our Diagnostics and Breast and Skeletal Health medical imaging equipment across South Lombardy region. To service the territory successfully you will be based around Piacenza or Cremona ideally.

We’re looking for people who have engineering experience (electrical/mechanical) ideally from within a medical device background, are happy to be in the field travelling within the designated area as required and occasional international journeys to support our customers, and who love troubleshooting and finding solutions.

The role will provide a high level of service to customers on the installation, repair, service, maintenance, or enhancement of hardware and/or software products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out maintenance and repair work on Hologic products
  • Install instruments at customer sites
  • Liaise with customer IT departments and assist with information systems installations and troubleshooting
  • Support marketing activities such as exhibitions
  • Routinely complete administrative work, such as but not limited to: Time Reports, Expense Reports, Equipment Site Assessments, Inventory Reports, Equipment Checklists and Field Service Reports
  • Provide basic use/maintenance training to customers
  • Perform duties and responsibilities with autonomy in a field-based environment
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Experience working in similar/comparable customer-based environment
  • Effective Time Management Skills
  • Ability to accurately diagnose issues as described over the phone by Field Service Engineers/customers
  • Proficient use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of network and interfacing with the ability to progress though training
  • Good level of spoken and written English
