A leading recruitment firm is seeking an experienced Director to lead their Rome gallery, focusing on commercial growth within Italian and international art markets. Key responsibilities include developing strategies to expand the collector base and ensuring high service standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a comparable gallery and a strong knowledge of the Italian art market. A full-time, permanent position with a salary range of €50,000 – €80,000 plus commissions is offered.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director to lead our Rome gallery and drive its commercial growth across the Italian and international art markets.

The successful candidate will oversee the gallery’s strategic and commercial direction, working in close collaboration with our London team to align exhibitions, art fairs and client development.

Applicants must demonstrate extensive experience in both the primary and secondary markets, established relationships with collectors, curators and institutions, and a proven track record of generating sales and building long-term partnerships within Italy, and globally.

Only those who are eligible to work in Italy can be considered.

Salary

€50,000 – €80,000 per annum + sales commissions.
