This role offers remote flexibility but requires regular travel to project sites.

Circular Resourcing are partnered with a JV Development Platform looking to for a proactive Project Development Manager / Country Manager to drive forward their business in Italy.

The company have been established in Italy for many years focussing on development and have launched a partnership with a manufacturer based in Europe to co-developer several Solar and BESS opportunities in Italy.

Position :

Head of Development / Country Manager - Italy (Remote)

• Location : Italy (with regular travel to project sites)
• Reporting to : CEO

Company Overview :

• Established renewable energy developer specializing in the Development and storage projects.
• Operating across development, financing, construction, and operations, the company values entrepreneurial spirit, adaptability, and a hands-on approach to navigating the evolving energy landscape.

Role Overview :

• As Head of Project Development, you will lead the deployment of Solar & BESS activities across the region.
• You will oversee project development through a network of co-developers, ensuring projects reach Ready-to-Build status and progress through to construction. This is a strategic leadership role requiring strong technical, commercial, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage project development activities in Italy, coordinating with co-developers and reporting progress to senior leadership.
• Drive projects to RTB status by securing EPC contracts, offtake agreements, and financing.
• Prepare and submit projects for Italian energy tenders.
• Identify and manage local service providers based on project geography.
• Oversee project timelines and development expenditure (DevEx).
• Provide technical support during pre-construction and construction phases, including subcontractor selection, testing, and commissioning.
• Ensure high-quality reporting and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Profile :

• A go-getter who can build relationships and manage a growing pipeline of utility scale projects across Italy.
• Ideally Minimum 5 years of experience in Solar / BESS project development.
• Proven track record of managing complex infrastructure projects, preferably with experience in Italy.
