An established industry player in study abroad programs is seeking a dedicated Resident Coordinator for the Fall 2025-Spring 2026 academic year. This role involves living in a Dominican Convent in Rome, supervising students, and facilitating their personal and spiritual growth. Academic Year of Fall 2025-Spring 2026 | 10-Month Commitment | Reports to the Student Life Director

Who We Are

Living & Learning International (L&LI) is a faith-based study abroad organization that provides academically excellent global programs where students live in community, engage the challenges of the world, and learn to respond with a biblical Christian worldview. We work with 40+ institutions across the United States in semester, summer, and short-term study abroad programs. Be part of a charismatic and dedicated team of professionals committed to providing quality study away experiences to U.S. College and University students.

Supervise L&LI Apartments and Student Life

  1. Provide an example of a Christ follower to every student in the L&LI program: by behavior, actions, and words
  2. Live in a Dominican Convent in a contemporary neighborhood of Rome alongside students
  3. Maintain awareness of the semester calendar & schedule and communicate to students both in-person and via email/WhatsApp/social media about activities and events
  4. Maintain attention to the property, including but not limited to keeping receipts, reporting maintenance needs to the program/convent staff, completing a convent inventory, and maintaining overall cleanliness, health, & comfort of student housing
  5. Complete housing check-in & check-out processes with students
  6. Act as the point person for all student questions related to health concerns, questions, and/or issues
  7. Maintain student health and respond to health concerns, and clinic needs alongside the Director of Student Life
  8. File incident reports
  9. Attend L&LI staff meetings weekly
  10. Complete 4-6 office hours per week through assigned department role

Disciple Students

  1. Mediate challenges and conflicts among students, in collaboration with the Director of Student Life
  2. Uphold and encourage students’ behavior, words & actions
  3. Respond directly to issues, concerns, rumors, and/or actions that violate or could lead to violation of the Living Above Reproach (Behavior Commitment) contract
  4. Report any violations to the Director of Student Life within 24 hours of any incident
  5. Be available and approachable to students
  6. Plan and lead bi-weekly discipleship meetings with every student under your care
  7. Weekly lead and facilitate small group discipleship conversations
  8. Assist students in understanding the application of all they are learning
  9. Advocate for professors, including the Program Director
  10. Stock and maintain prevention measures and supplies for potential health issues (first-aid kits)
  11. Budget and account for all funds given for discipleship meetings, and provide a financial report to the Program Director at the end of the month

Lead Student Activities

  1. Aid in the planning/marketing of activities and community events including communication. Lead and/or participate in all student activities.
  2. Provide educational, cultural, and social weekly activities for students
  3. Aid in the planning and execution of weekly program meals for students

Compensation

Resident Coordinators will personally fundraise $6,000 while L&LI will provide coverage of the remaining items.

  1. 2 Round-Trip Airline Tickets (returning back to the USA over Christmas Break)
  2. Housing (7 months) during Semester Programs dates, Staff Training, and Debrief
