About The Team

As the VP Finance Controller, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial integrity and stability of the company. You will be responsible for leading financial planning, reporting, and compliance to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accountability across all financial activities. This role requires both a strategic mindset and hands-on execution, working closely with leadership to provide insights that enable sound business decisions and sustainablegrowth.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Management & Reporting
  • Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Develop and oversee accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures.
  • Strategic Planning & Analysis
  • Partner with CFO and executive leadership to develop financial strategies.
  • Provide insights on performance, risks, and opportunities through financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Support budgeting, long-term planning, and capital allocation.
  • Risk, Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements, and statutory obligations.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, and external stakeholders.
  • Mitigate financial risks through robust internal control frameworks.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Lead process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Oversee cash flow, working capital, and treasury management.
  • Implement and leverage financial systems, tools, and automation.
  • Leadership & People Development
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Professional certification (CPA, CFA, CMA, or equivalent) highly desirable.
  • 12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record in financial control, reporting, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, taxation, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in [insert relevant industry: e.g., fintech, banking, consumer goods]isaplus.
