Purpose of the Job

Responsible to prepare robust credit applications, as well as satisfactory risk assessment, across a variety of industries of Global Corporate customers with minimum supervisions. Support the department/Branch credit management to including but not limited to Borrower Rating review and continuous monitoring on customer’s performance as mandated in Credit Rules, Procedures for Credit Rating and Standard Operating Manual.

Primary Responsibilities

• Liaise with Head Office, Primary Offices and other Branches to consult or seek guidance on general issues, rules and borrowers’ issues.
• Develop recommendations for continuous improvement and support any departmental project or initiatives implementation.
• Conduct financial and business analysis as well as other risk aspects in assessing customer’s credit risk in timely and proper manner in accordance with Credit Rules, Procedures for Credit Rating, Standard Operation Procedures and other prevailing rules and regulations, which in overall, shall aim towards healthy credit portfolio and low Non Performing Loan.
• Prepare regular credit reporting to internal and other related parties in order to prevent problem assets in accordance with Credit Rules, Procedures for Credit Rating, Standard Operation Procedures and other prevailing rules and regulations.
• Support in managing the risk profile for the department by preparing Credit Reviews (Credit and Borrower Rating Application, Asset Evaluation) in timely and proper manner in line with prudent credit risk management, in order to achieve the Department’s target, healthy credit portfolio and low Non Performing Loan.
• Monitor key Borrower’s risk factors/triggers continuously and act promptly by conducting necessary review to assess changes in risk profile, e.g. revise financial projection or start stress testing.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service to enhance function's reputation and meet customer's expectations.
• Work in partnership with colleagues across the region to deliver an integrated service for our customers.
• Work in partnership with Relationship Managers in the Branch to visit customers to assess the business and obtain necessary information, as well as preparation of customer’s documentation, if required.
• Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both within MUFG and externally.
• Handle direct communication with the customers (if necessary) and obtain their financial condition within the scope of credit risk analysis judgment and promoting our Bank’s products and services.
• Support and guide less experienced team members.
