Job description
Traffic Analyst Staff (Placement: Makassar)

Collect, process, and analyze toll road traffic data to produce periodic traffic reports to support operational and management decisions.

Gather primary and secondary supporting data, including macroeconomic indicators, origin–destination information, area development data, and other relevant inputs.

Prepare presentation materials to communicate analysis results and evaluations effectively.

Assist in ensuring data compliance with legal requirements related to toll road operations (SPM).

Analyze Key Traffic Performance Indicators such as Volume-to-Capacity Ratio (VCR), Level of Service (LOS), travel time, and congestion levels.

Support traffic forecasting and trend analysis for operational planning and capacity assessment.

Monitor traffic behavior during normal days, peak periods, holidays, special events, and extraordinary conditions.

Collaborate with operations and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

Support feasibility studies and business planning activities.

Maintain and improve traffic data documentation, systems, and databases.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in traffic analysis, transportation planning, or data analysis (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
  • Strong understanding of transportation modeling and toll road operations.
  • Experience in processing and analyzing traffic volume and vehicle classification data.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, etc.
  • Ability to perform forecasting using regression-based analysis is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Capable of preparing clear and accurate technical reports and presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Additional Technical Competencies
  • Familiarity with KPIs in toll road operations (traffic growth, revenue correlation, congestion index).
  • Basic understanding of traffic simulation and forecasting models is an advantage.
  • Awareness of road safety and traffic management principles.
