Job Duties

• Under broad direction, this position functions as a technical specialist within the Surface Data Logging discipline.
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of product and service specifications and applications, including operation and maintenance.
• Provides technical and operational expertise to external customers in a professional manner.
• Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments in support of local operations.
• Exercises Stop Work Authority for unsafe conditions.
• Within their geography, individuals in this position are considered a technical authority in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles, processes and the associated equipment/technology.
• May serve as local commercialization coordinator for introduction of new products/services into local market.
• Contributes to inventions, designs or techniques which contribute directly to value creation and/or problem solving.
• Advises Company and customer personnel on equipment capabilities, technical complexity and operation.
• Assists the resolution of problems of significant difficulty and importance to the organization or the industry, where problems are characterized by their lack of scientific precedence or lack of success of prior research.
• Individuals at this level have often published papers in their discipline, and are often called upon to make presentations to clients or at meetings of professional engineering or geological associations.
• Requirements include an undergraduate degree in Science or Engineering and a minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Completion of an advanced degree in Science or Engineering is preferred.
