Job summary

A retail company in Tangerang is seeking a professional for managing knit product development. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in merchandising or sourcing for knit apparel, along with expertise in garment construction and sampling processes. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Translate design briefs/tech packs into feasible knit product plans and manage development timelines and approvals.
  • Oversee the full sampling process from proto to pre-production, including fit, trims, and lab dip approvals, and maintain clear revision records.
  • Plan and monitor production schedules, confirm capacities, place purchase orders, and track order status.
  • Source, qualify, and onboard new knit vendors; negotiate commercial terms, MOQs, and cost reductions.
  • Coordinate with QC and Buyer to ensure product specifications are met and resolve quality issues with suppliers and internal teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Textile, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in merchandising or sourcing for knit apparel (factory/export exposure preferred) with prior experience in trading company and garment company is required.
  • Proven experience in handling knit products and development processes.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, knit techniques, sampling processes, costing analysis, and advanced Excel.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Able to work with cross-border suppliers.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to be placed at Lippo Karawaci.
