Job description
Senior Medical Affairs Manager – Vaccines (Indonesia)

Oversee the consistency, quality and compliance of all medical‑to‑medical initiatives and stakeholder‑centric engagement, ensuring alignment with the company’s global and regional medical strategies. Serve as the primary country medical point of contact and liaison with internal functions and external stakeholders, while providing strategic leadership for field‑based medical activities.

Role Responsibilities
  • External Medical & Scientific Engagement Strategy & Implementation
    • Support development of a cross‑BU medical field strategy for external stakeholder engagement, aligned with individual business unit medical strategies.
    • Establish and strengthen medical and scientific relationships between Medical Science Liaison (MSL) teams and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure effective data communication and capture of medical insights.
    • Collaborate with MSLs on advisory boards, educational workshops, and participation in medical/scientific conferences.
  • External Collaboration Projects
    • Coordinate with BU Medical Affairs to ensure timely, efficient communication for required internal/external processes, including system administration, documentation, tracking, payment, and material/drug shipment.
  • Ensure compliance with operational requirements.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide disease, product, or basic pharmacology training to relevant colleagues as required.
    • Participate in internal and external training/meetings to improve efficiency and competency.
    • Solicit and consolidate feedback from stakeholders, quantifying and communicating the value of field‑based medical activities.
    • Develop, monitor, and report KPIs related to field‑based medical activity.
  • Management
    • Support the Category Medical Lead in leading the Medical team.
    • Provide input and support in developing overall Medical Strategies and Objectives.
    • Assist colleagues on special projects at local, regional, and international levels.
  • Country Medical Leadership & Representation
    • Act as the primary medical point of contact for Indonesia, interfacing with regulatory authorities, medical societies, and external partners.
    • Lead development and execution of country‑level medical strategies, ensuring alignment with global and regional objectives.
    • Oversee medical governance, compliance, and quality management for all medical activities in Indonesia.
    • Lead the monthly Country Medical Council meeting and maintain oversight of medical colleagues and activities.
    • Regularly update the MISP Cluster Medical Lead and Category Leads on medical activities.
  • Other Medical Affairs Projects as defined by BU Medical Leads.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary education in medicine (preferred) or a health science related discipline; relevant specialty training desirable.
  • Industry, clinical, research or academic experience with a track record of publications preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical research and clinical development processes desirable.
  • 10+ years of experience in a field‑based medical role within the vaccine domain.
