Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in financial planning or cost control.
  • Ability to manage complex spreadsheets and operate Google Workspace.
  • Fundamental knowledge of finance and accounting.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders at various seniority levels.
  • Comfortable with data analysis in a startup environment.
  • Fluency with SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

Get to know the team

You will be part of the Strategy & Planning team, support Grab Indonesia's ExJabo territory! We leverage data to uncover new insights and create demand‑generating and supply‑shaping strategy to best serve our consumers and partners. Our Strategy & Planning team is made up of Grabbers of multiple backgrounds, allowing us to have multiple perspectives towards business issues. You will be reporting to the manager. The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
  • Reporting: Provide performance updates to leaders and compare it against budget.
  • Analysis: Rigorous revenue vs cost analysis by area and by vertical. Not limited to adhoc project‑based cost analysis/financial modeling. Giving further suggestions on how to improve on cost effectiveness is also crucial.
  • Controlling: Track the spending for each division and projects in order not to be over budget.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting & forecasting from the operation side to be submitted to the Financial Planning & Analysis team.
  • Month‑End Closing: provide accrual needed to the accounting team and identify potential cost savings to be reflected in the P&L.
  • Business Partnering: act as the central contact related to the budget/spending and special project for the non Ex‑Jabodetabek part of Indonesia. Maintain close relationships with multiple partners from operations until accounting team.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Business/Major
  • Min. 2 years of experience in cost control/financial/special project planning/accounting/business strategy/finance partner
  • Can maintain complex spreadsheets and operate Google Workspace (inc. GSheet, GDoc, and GSlides)
  • Well‑rounded knowledge of the profit and loss (P&L) concept
  • Have fundamental knowledge concept of finance and accounting
  • Experience to manage multiple stakeholders across multiple levels of seniority
  • Comfortable with numbers and large volume of data, including coping with the of startup business environment
  • Fluency with SQL would be an added value
