Our facility in Batam, Indonesia, specializes in the production of lighting and detection product technologies, including Specialty Lamps for industrial and photonics applications, IPL Lamps, Trigger Coils, Infra-Red Detectors (IRD), Sensor Modules, Pyro-electric Ceramic Wafers, Thermopile Sensors (TPS), Thermopile modules (TPM), CCD Sensors, and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies. We are seeking a Quality Engineer responsible for ensuring product quality, managing inspection processes, implementing quality control systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a team of QA inspectors to achieve KPIs.
2. Control, monitor, and improve product quality performance across production lines, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
3. Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and other departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives for product quality.
4. Address and resolve quality issues raised by customers, including conducting failure analysis and implementing corrective actions.
5. Support and participate in internal audits to ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
6. Manage and develop direct reports through coaching and performance feedback; oversee training programs and OJT.
7. Ensure compliance with all quality, environmental, health, and safety management system procedures within the assigned areas.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
• 2–4 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in electronics manufacturing.
• Knowledge of quality control methodologies, inspection techniques, and statistical tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Trained Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.
• Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
